Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking a MVA Offload Rears, Tech IV - 1Shift. The rate is $21.89 per hour, with eligibility for a variable incentive program and core hours Monday through Thursday, 5:30AM to 3:30PM.

Assemble, wire, and modify high voltage assemblies and sub-assemblies according to guidelines, supporting manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety and ISO procedures.

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
  • No relocation assistance; within 50 miles of Greenwood, SC; military candidates exempt from geographic area.

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a MVA Offload Rears, Tech IV - 1Shift. The rate for this position is $21.89 per hour.

This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

The core hours are Monday - Thursday (5:30AM - 3:30PM)

What You’ll Do
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

In the Assembly Technician role, you assemble, wire, and modify work based on specified guidelines in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies associated with these.

Essential Functions
  • Assemble, wire, fit, and modify high complex assemblies, including non-standard such as Special Assembly, Power Companies, and Pull and Switch Sections, demonstrating advanced understanding.
  • Fill out ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering as required.
  • Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations as needed.
  • Regularly lift and assemble with heavy copper parts.
  • Maintain minimum levels of Kanban inventory and report shortages to appropriate operators.
  • Inspect all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness.
  • Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs.
  • Assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work.
  • Work to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instructions from supervision or Engineering to established procedures.
  • Pull drawings for units using ENOVIA.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year in a SG37 assembly role.
  • Completed qualifications through pay for skill.
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • At least 1 year of experience using hand and air tools.
  • Strong experience in reading Manufacturing Information (MI)
  • South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent

  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
  • Utilize various hand and power tools, step ladder and crane to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment.
  • Must be able to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams and job specific programs such as ENOVIA.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach at or above shoulder level; grip; and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to walk; stoop; lift; carry; push; pull; and grip. The employee is frequently required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to push/pull up to or greater than 50 pounds. The employee may be required to use material handling equipment, including powered industrial vehicles. The vision requirements include far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to listen and to talk.
