Job summary

ABB is hiring for an onsite manufacturing role in Mebane, NC. The position involves performing assembly operations to produce final products and panels, following technical diagrams and using hand tools and light machinery on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include quality testing, adhering to SOPs, and maintaining a clean workspace. The candidate should have a high school diploma and prefer 1 year in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to safely use a ladder when performing the job.
• Knowledge and use of hand tools such as tape measure, calipers, grinders, etc.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including packing integrated with production lines.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams/instructions for assembly.
• Perform work manually or using light hand tools.
• Will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor.
• Carry out regular quality testing as part of the production process.
• Operate within standard operating procedures and keep the work area clean.
