Job summary

Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) is seeking an R&D Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, testing, and certification of innovative electrical power products.

This role involves collaborating with diverse engineering teams and requires a strong engineering background with at least 3 years of experience in electrical power distribution equipment. Familiarity with NRTL testing and SolidWorks is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience designing low/medium voltage power distribution equipment.
• Experience with common standards for electrical equipment (UL 891, 1558, 508A).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, testing and certification of electrical power products.
• Develop and document test plans according to relevant standards.
• Support testing process and evaluate test results.
• Conduct failure analyses of existing products for improvement.

Skills

Design of low/medium voltage power distribution equipment

Familiarity with NRTL evaluation and certification

Experience using SolidWorks

Education

BSME or equivalent experience
