Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a compassionate CNA to provide daily supportive and functional care to residents at our Ballwin location.

You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, delivering person-centered care and ensuring residents retain dignity and independence as much as possible.

Qualifications

• Must be a current CNA in MO, IL or enrolled/eligible in PA within 120 days of training completion.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.
• Commitment to person-centered care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Job Description:SummaryProvides daily supportive and functional care to residents in a compassionate environment according to established community care procedures as directed by nursing leadership. Works as a collaborative member of an interdisciplinary team that focuses on the resident as the director of their own care.Job Responsibilities1. Maintains residents’ comfort; provides physical care with activities of daily living according to scope of practice; answers resident’s call lights and requests; reports observations of residents to the nurse2. Handles residents’ personal care needs and support in a timely manner; helps maintain residents’ dignity by letting them do as much for themselves as possible3. Observes residents closely to identify changing needs and conditions and reports information to the nurse4. Actively participates in residents’ care/service plans for the purpose of improving residents’ lives5. Assists residents during mealtimes and feeds residents who need full assistance6. Creates and maintains meaningful relationships with residents and their families; provides support with compassion and professionalism7. Supports residents’ involvement in decision making regarding their own daily activities; Assists residents with activities8.
