Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an Application Engineering Manager to support our Medium Voltage power distribution portfolio (5kV–38kV). You will lead design support, cost estimation, and technical guidance for MV switchgear, GIS, and related architectures, ensuring compliance with ANSI/IEEE, IEC, and customer specs.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and project teams to develop solutions, prepare layouts and schematics, and maintain margin discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related field.
• 5+ years in power distribution or electrical systems.
• Experience with ANSI/IEEE, IEC, NEC, UL, and NEMA codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in MV product selection and application.
• Assist customers in design and configuration of power distribution systems.
• Develop custom MV solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Support sales with proposals and technical reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation and system layouts.
