Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Development Engineering Specialist for the MV-75 propulsion system. Hybrid schedule; 3 days in the office per week with relocation available for this role.

You will provide programmatic leadership, manage engine development tasks, and coordinate cross-functional teams from requirements through certification, with emphasis on test planning and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technical Degree with 5+ years of experience or Master’s with 3+ years, or JD/PhD in Engineering or a Technical Degree.
• U.S. Citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Manage assembly and configuration of engines through MV-75 development program.
• Turn test requirements into test plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Identify risks and present options to program leadership.
• Support test operations and lead procedures during engine tests.
• Ensure risks are identified, managed, and escalated per the risk plan.
• Prepare compliance documents from requirements to evidence of compliance.
• Plan and develop certification/qualification plans for subsystems.
• Lead integration between project teams and test activities.
• Support on-site and off-site development engine builds and tests.
