Job summary

HireTalent is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst in Boston to support the preparation of financial statements, regulatory filings, and fund reporting for registered investment companies.

Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, assisting with SEC filings, reviewing expenses and accruals, and ensuring reporting calendars are met. Collaboration with internal teams and guidance for junior staff are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of mutual fund accounting experience.
• 1-2 years of financial reporting experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• Experience with registered investment company reporting is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC filings, and investment fund reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual, semi-annual, and quarterly financial statements for mutual funds.
• Assist with SEC and regulatory filings (N-CSR, 24F-2, N-Q, N-SAR).
• Review fund expenses, accruals, and reporting data for accuracy.
• Maintain reporting calendars and meet critical deadlines.
• Support regulatory compliance and investment company reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and assist with process improvements.
• Review work by junior team members and support special projects.
