Job summary

The Carnegie Mellon University School of Music invites applications for our Assistant Teaching Professor of Musicology position. Qualifications

• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness (e.g. course syllabi, student and peer evaluations, and other evidence).
• Successful college- or university-level music history teaching experience as instructor of record.
• Experience in and commitment to teaching and/or mentoring members of historically underrepresented groups in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate music major core history courses and graduate and undergraduate musicology elective seminars.
• Contribute to the supervision of graduate history comprehensives and general departmental responsibilities.
• Share in service on School, College, and University committees.
