Job summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking a Musician to support the Church’s liturgical life by providing music that enhances worship, prayer, and congregational participation in line with Catholic traditions.

You will perform for weekend Masses and holy days, accompany congregational singing, lead or support choirs, and prepare music aligned with the liturgical calendar. Collaboration with clergy and volunteers is essential.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency on piano, organ, guitar, voice, or another appropriate instrument.
  • Experience providing music for Catholic Mass or Christian worship preferred.
  • Familiarity with Catholic liturgy, the liturgical calendar, and sacred music preferred.
  • Ability to read music and work effectively with singers and instrumentalists.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, collaborative, and respectful of the sacred nature of the ministry.
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and worship life of the Catholic Church.

  • Participate in parish events, special services, and seasonal celebrations as needed.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities
