Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services in Reno, NV seeks a dedicated Music Therapist to support hospice patients within Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation. You will apply music therapy to address physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs and collaborate with the rehab team to improve quality of life for patients and families.

This PRN role offers flexible scheduling, clinical autonomy, driving mileage reimbursement, supportive leadership and growth opportunities as you travel between

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy.
• Current licensure as Music Therapist, if required by state.
• MT-BC certification by CBMT, depending on state.
• Knowledge of music therapy for neurologic disorders.
• Postgraduate work experience as a music therapist preferred.
• Demonstrates professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
• Current BLS or CPR certification per state regulations.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple locations daily.

Responsibilities

• Performs an evaluation, assessing patient needs and sets measurable objectives with the rehab team.
• Administers direct music therapy treatment to provide habilitative and rehabilitative services.
• Plans and organizes music activities in line with patients' needs and interests.
• Observes and evaluates patient reactions, adjusting treatment for maximum results.
• Communicates patient needs and progress to the treatment team and family as applicable.
• Collaborates with other disciplines to integrate music goals with PT/OT/SLT.
• Maintains documentation and billing records per regulations.
• Upholds HIPAA, company policies, and professional standards.
