Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in the United States is seeking a qualified Music Therapist to join our dedicated team.

You will perform evaluations, administer therapy, plan activities, monitor progress, and communicate results to the care team and families.

This role involves travel between multiple assignments, maintaining HIPAA-compliant records, and collaborating with PT/OT/SLP to support neurorehab goals. Flexible scheduling and clinical autonomy are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy required.
• MT-BC licensure or CBMT certification as required by state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification as per state regulations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to travel to multiple assignments daily.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate needs and set measurable objectives with rehab team.
• Administer direct music therapy treatment.
• Plan and organize music therapy activities.
• Observe and evaluate responses and adjust treatment.
• Communicate progress to treatment team and families.
• Collaborate with PT/OT/SLP to support rehab goals.
• Document changes and report to clinical coordinator and physicians.
• Provide training and document training outcomes.
• Maintain and submit evaluation, treatment and billing documentation per regulations.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Performs an evaluation, assessing the needs of the person receiving services, and sets measurable objectives that are formulated in conjunction with the rehabilitation team
• Administers direct music therapy treatment to provide habilitative and rehabilitative services
• Plans and organizes music therapeutic activities in accordance with patients' needs, capabilities, and interests
• Observes and evaluates patients' reactions to various experiences, adjusts treatment to achieve maximum results
• Communicates patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services, family members, as applicable
• Consults with and works closely with other disciplines in ways music therapy goals can support patient meeting their Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech goals
• Observes, documents, and reports changes in the condition of the person served to the clinical coordinator, PM/DCM, attending physician, and other treatment team members as appropriate
• Provides training to the person receiving services, and as appropriate, all others involved in that person’s rehabilitation. Analyzes and documents the result of any training
• Maintains and submits evaluation, treatment and billing documentation in the format and timelines required by the Company, facility, funding source, local, state, and federal regulations
• Adheres to standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, policies, HIPAA and Corporate Compliance programs and appropriate professional practice standards and applicable state/federal laws
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy
• Maintains current license as Music Therapist, if required by state of practice
• Maintains state license as Music or Music Therapist - Board Certified (MT-BC) by the Certification Board for Music Therapy (CBMT), depending on state requirements
• Knowledge of the various appropriate music therapy activities used for the therapeutic treatment of individuals with neurologic disorders
• Previous post graduate work experience as music therapist is preferred
• Demonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
• Has reliable transportation and is able to travel to/from multiple assignments/locations daily
