Job summary

FullBloom is seeking a licensed music therapist to provide individual, dyad, and group music therapy within an interdisciplinary treatment team at Arlington Heights. You will develop treatment plans, document in student files, and participate in supervision and professional development while supporting agency-wide processes.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, delivering music therapy sessions, coordinating with treatment teams, and providing in-service training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from AMTA-approved program.
• Master's degree in Music Therapy (MMT or MA in MT) from AMTA-approved program is preferred.
• Licensing: MT-BC preferred; Illinois licensure (LPMT) expected within one week of hire.
• Strong clinical musicianship with strengths-based framework.
• Effective communication with professionals, students, and families.
• Ability to work independently at multiple sites within the agency.

Responsibilities

• Observes, assesses, and places students in appropriate delivery of service.
• Provides individual, dyad, and group music therapy.
• Develops expressive therapy treatment plans.
• Documents in students’ files according to regulatory requirements.
• Collaborates with the treatment team via email, meetings, and consultation.
• Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
• Provides in-service training to team members and with expressive therapy/clinical teams.
• Active supervision for the music therapist.
• Maintains licensure according to state and federal regulations.
