Help create a brighter, stronger future for the children we serve at Shriners Children’s Southern California (SCSC). We are a family-centered, pediatric subspecialty Ambulatory Surgical Center located in Pasadena, providing complex care for children with orthopedic conditions.
We have an opportunity for a Music Therapist to join our team. The Music Therapist provides assessment, music based programming, and music-based therapeutic intervention for children, from infancy through adolescence, in a family centered care environment. In this position, you'll help patients achieve and maintain maximum levels of functioning in the areas of physical, cognitive and socio-emotional health while promoting principals of family centered care. You'll work with patients and the interdisciplinaryteam providing co-treatment, procedural support and individualized therapeutic interventions. This position provides services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Position requires strong skills in assessment and planning, psychosocial support, procedural support and goal directed play.
This position is per diem, non-exempt and benefits eligible. The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $42.50/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.
