Job summary

Benchmark Human Services is seeking a licensed Music Therapist (MT-BC) to provide therapeutic intervention in facilities or community settings. The role includes educating caregivers, developing music therapy strategies, and maintaining documentation to meet state and federal standards.

Full-time role with comprehensive benefits; ensure client safety and participate in ongoing care planning. Requires MT-BC, Bachelor’s in music therapy, and a valid driver’s license.

• MT-BC certification required.
• Bachelor's in Music or Music Therapy.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide education to caregivers and individuals.
• Develop and implement music therapy strategies based on person-centered objectives.
• Maintain billable criteria and ensure documentation per state/federal rules.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid Certification and comply with health and safety standards.
• Report suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation to supervisor.
• Execute age-appropriate engaging activities for clients.
• Complete required documentation and collect progress data.
• Participate in Individual Support Plan or Person Centered Plan.
• Attend departmental meetings.

New Increased Rates!

Full-Time benefits: $44-46/hr

Part-Time no benefits: $52-54/hr
