Job summary

All Seniors Foundation in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a dedicated Music Therapist (MT-BC) to bring evidence-based music therapy to seniors with dementia, depression, hospice patients, and stroke recovery in homes and community settings.

You will develop personalized treatment plans, deliver group and one-on-one sessions, train family caregivers, and collaborate with a care team to improve mood, engagement, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• MT-BC credential required.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Music Therapy.
• 1+ years clinical music therapy experience; geriatric, dementia, or hospice preferred.
• Strong therapeutic relationship and assessment skills.
• Proficiency on at least one instrument (guitar, piano, voice).

Responsibilities

• Conduct music therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver one-on-one and group music therapy sessions in homes, adult day programs, and hospice settings.
• Use personalized playlists for dementia patients (per Music & Memory evidence-based protocols).
• Document clinical progress against measurable goals (mood, agitation, communication, engagement).

Role Overview

As Music Therapist, you will provide evidence-based music therapy interventions for seniors with dementia, depression, hospice patients, and stroke recovery. You will work in homes and community settings, using personalized music to evoke memory, reduce agitation, and support quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct music therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver one-on-one and group music therapy sessions in homes, adult day programs, and hospice settings
• Use personalized playlists for dementia patients (per Music & Memory evidence-based protocols)
