Job summary

South Central BOCES in Colorado is seeking a dedicated High School and Junior High Music teacher to implement a robust program aligned with the master schedule.

You will plan, assess, and adapt instruction for a diverse student population, cultivate a positive classroom culture, and collaborate with staff and families. A Bachelor's degree in education and CO teaching license are required, with a commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university.
  • A valid CO Teaching License, or the ability to obtain one, with appropriate endorsement(s).
  • A demonstrated philosophy that all students can and will learn.
  • Strong classroom management
  • High expectations of personal and student performance on a daily basis
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), Positive interpersonal skills, Excellent attendance record
  • Ability to foster positive human relationships and to engage and work effectively with students, staff, parents, and community
  • Professional verification of successful classroom teacher and/or student teaching experience.
  • Evidence of the willingness and the ability to comply with the standards for ethical and professional performance established by the State Board of Education.
  • A willingness and demonstrated abilities conducive to a continuous quest for quality education.

  • Work collaboratively to achieve the overall purpose of the school's program and support the District's vision, aims and goals

Other Information
  • Reports to: Building Principal
  • Work Schedule: 177.5 Day Contract
  • Workday: 7:45am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday (5-day week)
  • 25-26Base Salary $42,500 (26-27 Salary Schedule not yet adopted)
