Overview

Peoria Music Academy seeks passionate and experienced music instructors to provide one‑on‑one private lessons, group general music lessons for young children, and instrument‑specific group lessons. The Academy serves over 700 students and continues to grow, offering a creative and supportive environment for both teachers and students.

Responsibilities

• Teach private lessons and group classes across instruments such as piano, guitar, ukulele, drums, voice, and violin.
• Use a pedagogical method focused on foundations of music, note‑based and ear‑based instruction.
• Match students with appropriate teachers and maintain lesson schedules.
• Collaborate with the Academy’s administrative team which handles scheduling, billing, and parent communication.

Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching music, preferably in a private or small group setting.
• Friendly, patient, and exuberant teaching style.
• Strong foundation in music theory and a passion for creative, fun instruction.
• College degree preferred but not required.
• Ability to work across a variety of instruments.
