Qualifications

• Required: Professional Educator License with Music Endorsement PreK - KG
• Required: Bachelor's Degree
• Experience: Teaching experience in Music Education PreK - KG (Required); 3-5 years preferred, especially with at-risk and special education students in a public school Pre-K setting

Responsibilities

• Implement the district curriculum, including Response to Intervention (RtI)
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
• Collaborate with staff to develop a comprehensive music program including drama, rhythm, dance, singing, and instrument playing
• Maintain classroom discipline and safety standards
• Manage and maintain musical equipment and materials
• Communicate regularly with parents and staff about student progress
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and school activities
• Adhere to district policies and confidentiality standards

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of music pedagogy and curriculum development
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to create a respectful and engaging learning environment
• Technical proficiency with online assessment tools, Microsoft Office, Google programs, and district systems
• Understanding of early childhood development and special education guidelines

Additional Information

• Full-time, 180 days/year; 7:25 AM - 3:00 PM
• Salary Range: $42,199 - $59,249 based on experience and education
