Job summary

Luther College seeks an Admissions Counselor / Assistant Director of Music Recruitment to recruit, counsel and manage relationships with prospective music students. You will lead strategic music recruitment with Admissions and Music leaders and coordinate auditions.

Responsibilities include campus visits, events, marketing materials creation, and enrollment reporting, with extensive travel throughout spring, summer and fall. Strong communication and CRM experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any major required.
• Knowledge of Music and Music Education is essential.
• Strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills are required.
• Familiarity with liberal arts colleges and fluency in a second language are desirable.
• One year of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in sales, marketing, counseling, or education is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal skills; enthusiastic and goal-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement an annual recruitment plan for students interested in music.
• Build relationships with prospective students, families, counselors, and key influencers.
• Plan and conduct school visits, attend college fairs and events; represent Luther College.
• Monitor performance indicators and adjust recruitment strategies.
• Communicate with students and families via email, text, phone, virtual meetings and in-person interactions.
• Collaborate with Enrollment colleagues and campus partners on schedules and cases.
• Travel during spring, summer and fall recruitment seasons; represent Luther Music.
