Job summary

Sony Music Publishing is seeking an Associate to support Sample Clearances for SMP. You will enable the strategic vision for the Sampling function by delivering top-tier service to our songwriters and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include handling Ex. US sample clearances, gathering usage confirmations, logging requests in Lotus Notes, and managing clearance documentation. The role requires strong organizational skills and collaboration across departments, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Handle US sample clearances for US-originating works.
• Coordinate with labels, managers, lawyers to gather splits and usage confirmations.
• Log licensing requests in Lotus Notes.
• Maintain audio files and clearance documentation for the Sampling team.
• Generate invoices and liaise with labels to process sample fees.
• Maintain and update SMP DISCO catalog with new works.
