Job summary

Chesterbrook Academy in Raleigh, NC, part of Spring Education Group, is seeking a Music and Performing Arts Teacher to inspire Pre-K–8 students with an engaging arts program. You will design lessons in general music, vocal/instrumental instruction, and drama, organize school-wide performances, and collaborate with peers to integrate arts across the curriculum.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Music Education or Performing Arts (Master's preferred), with experience teaching in PK–5

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Performing Arts, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching music and/or theater in a PK–5 school setting.
• Ability to direct musical ensembles, choirs, or theatrical productions.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons in general music, vocal/instrumental instruction, and performing arts tailored to developmental stages
• Organize school-wide performances, showcases, and community events that highlight student growth and achievement
• Collaborate with teachers across grade levels to integrate performing arts with other areas of the curriculum
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and the school community to support student development
• Maintain classroom environments and resources that are safe, inclusive, and supportive of artistic expression
