Job summary

NPR - National Public Radio seeks a Manager, Music Rights and Clearances to lead end-to-end clearance for flagship productions, including Tiny Desk, and partner with production teams, legal, and external rights holders.

The role will modernize rights-tracking, execute publishing and master agreements, and ensure compliance across broadcast and digital platforms, with a hybrid work arrangement across in-office locations in DC/NY/LA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in music licensing or rights clearance in media.
• Deep knowledge of synchronization, master, publishing and performance rights.
• Experience clearing rights on digital platforms (YouTube, TikTok).
• Proven ability to implement clear workflows and track licenses.
• Strong collaboration with production, legal, and rights holders.

Responsibilities

• Lead publishing, master, and synchronization clearances for NPR productions.
• Administer releases and documentation prior to broadcast or publication.
• Coordinate cross-platform rights with Permissions and distribution partners.
• Develop clearance workflows with legal and production teams.
