Salary: $1572.67 – $1725.85 per lecture unit rate, $1572.67 – $1725.85 per lab parity unit rate, $1258.16 – $1380.60 per lab unit rate per unit.

Essential Functions

May be asked to teach days, evenings, hybrid/online, and in the dual enrollment program. Online/ hybrid teaching requires additional campus‑based training.

Special Requirements

• All degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. If a degree award date is not posted, the application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration.
• Grade cards will not be accepted in lieu of transcripts.
• All degrees and coursework used to satisfy the required minimum qualifications must be submitted and must be from accredited postsecondary institutions.
• Evaluations of foreign degrees and/or coursework are required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s in music, or
• Bachelor’s in music and Master’s in humanities, or
• Possession of a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area, or
• Equivalent qualifications as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
• Commitment to diversity: demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and equity‑minded practices.

Desirable Qualifications

Demonstrated success in helping arts students from historically underrepresented and/or marginalized groups, nontraditional students, speakers of other languages, and students with learning disabilities.
