The Role:

The Music Hall Barback is responsible for the maintenance, stocking and cleanliness of the bar, and all other functions which increase the efficiency and productivity of the bartending team.

What You Need:

Required:

1. Ability to work late hours
2. Flexible schedule
3. Skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork
4. Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
5. Responsible Alcohol Training Certification or Equivalent

Preferred:

1. 3 years’ work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
2. Experience recognizing valid ID’s
3. Experience in a live music environment

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

1. Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful
2. Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet both indoors or outdoors
3. Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs. using proper lifting techniques
4. Intensely physical environment

What You’ll Do:

1. Stay informed of current menu items and descriptions
2. Follow Special Events guidelines to ensure event success
3. Handle side duties including stocking ice bins, liquor, beer, wine, and coolers, including lifting/moving up to 25lbs.
4. Clean and assist with maintaining bar equipment
5. Perform opening/running/closing side duties according to HOB policy
6. Put all trash and recyclable products in proper receptacles
7. Separate glass, cardboard, and plastics per local codes
8. Operate trash compactor per procedures policy
9. Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and HOB alcohol policies
10. Ensure that trash containers are clean, free of odor and lined
11. Maintain HOB safety and sanitation standards
12. Par all ice bins to the fullest levels at all times
13. Par all bars per venue specifications
