Job summary

Spotify seeks an experienced leader to manage a senior software engineering squad focused on a high-impact artist promotion tool and campaign management features. You will coach engineers, shape roadmaps, and partner with Product and Design to bring engineering perspectives to customer outcomes.

You will balance hands-on technical work with people leadership, drive delivery quality, and help the team work across time zones in the North America region.

Qualifications

• People management is at the core of your craft and you can coach experienced engineers.
• You have a strong backend or full-stack background and can discuss architecture credibly.
• You leverage a product mindset to shape engineering solutions and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a senior-engineer squad, aligning on priorities and delivery.
• Guide staffing, roadmap decisions, and cross-functional partnerships with Product and Design.
• Engage deeply in architectural debates, assess risks, and ensure healthy delivery.
• Partner with Product/Design to shape scope and direction with an engineering perspective.
• Drive accountability, capacity planning, and reliable execution of complex initiatives.
• Hire and onboard engineers to maintain team resilience over time.
