Qualifications

  • Maine Department of Education Music Teaching Certification 614 (PK-12) required; Ed Tech II/III considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Classroom experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver standards-based music curriculum for general, instrumental, and vocal music.

MSAD 41

-Music Educator-

MSAD 41 is seeking a passionate and creative K-12 Music Teacher to inspire our students' musical journey. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, inclusive music program that builds fundamental skills while igniting a lifelong appreciation for music across diverse genres and cultural traditions. MSAD 41 is located in beautiful Piscataquis County and has a student population of approximately 600 students over four schools: Marion C Cook (PK), Milo Elementary School (K-2), Brownville Elementary School (3-4), and Penquis Valley Middle High School (5-12). This is a full-time position for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond.

Successful Candidates Will Demonstrate Evidence Of The Following

Pay Commensurate With Experience And Certification

Teacher Salary: $45,250-72,907/yr

Ed Tech III Rate: $21.32-28.32/hr

Ed Tech II Rate: $20.32-26.32/hr
