Education: The successful candidate must hold current a valid Connecticut teacher certificate, 049-Music, PK-12.

Responsibilities

• Experience in choral and general music.


• Plans, coordinates rehearsals, and directs students in musical programs and performances for school events.


• Ability to relate successfully with staff, families and students from diverse backgrounds, experiences and skill levels.


• Conducts ongoing assessment of student musical learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.


• Performs additional duties, where appropriate, which are assigned within the scope of employment and certification.
