Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Museum Patrol Review to monitor a cultural institution, provide visitor service, and deter security incidents through a visible presence and routine patrols.

You will log activities, respond to incidents, and coordinate with site leadership, with a flexible schedule and opportunities to grow within a leading security services company.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a cultural institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, and report security concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and contact appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation for Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
