Job summary

The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco is seeking on-call Security Guards (TEX) to join our team for as-needed coverage of events and post duties. This position is part-time and exempt from civil service rules, with shifts based on operational need and no guaranteed hours.

Ideal candidates have security experience and a valid California security guard registration. Applicants will be assigned to on-call shifts at 200 Larkin Street, San Francisco, CA 94102, with standing and walking posts.

Qualifications

• One year of verifiable experience as a security officer.
• Possession of a current California Security Guard Registration Card issued by the California State Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.
• Possession of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate.
• Possession of a valid state motor vehicle operator's license.

Responsibilities

• Enforce rules and regulations governing access to and use of public facilities.
• Prepare routine reports of time and work done.
• Patrol and safeguard facilities.
• Observe and be aware of the surrounding environment and recognize potentially dangerous situations and react appropriately.
• Perform basic incidental duties as needed.
