Mount Vernon is seeking a Retail Buyer to plan, purchase, and maintain the merchandise assortment for assigned categories, ensuring alignment with educational priorities and a engaging visitor experience.

The Buyer will manage inventory, monitor trends, and coordinate with Retail, Library, Events, and Marketing. Proficiency in Cin7 Core and Shopify is required; strong Excel skills and 3–4 years in museum retail are preferred.

Formación

• Three to four years of experience in retail buying or procurement.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with inventory management and POS systems; Cin7 Core and Shopify a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and maintain a balanced merchandise assortment aligned with Mount Vernon’s mission.
• Monitor sales trends, forecasts, stock levels, and place purchase orders within approved authority.
• Coordinate replenishment, vendor relationships, and open order management.
• Produce regular inventory reports and support events and promotions.
• Ensure accurate data in Cin7 Core and Shopify; support invoice accuracy.
