Job summary

The Princeton University Art Museum invites applications for a Research Assistant in the department of Prints and Drawings. Under the direction of the curator, the Research Assistant will work on ongoing cataloguing of the collections, including provenance research, and assist on upcoming exhibitions, acquisitions, and other projects.

Additionally, the assistant will help the supervising curator with teaching needs. This position is temporary.

Qualifications

• Essential requirements: PhD or current graduate student in Art History (or related field).
• Proficiency in a European language relevant to the collections, or Inuktitut.
• Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cataloging of collections; provenance research; work on exhibitions and acquisitions.
• Assist in teaching needs and prepare for a 2027 Inuit printmaking exhibition.
