Job summary

Science Museum of Minnesota is seeking an Event Parking Attendant to warmly welcome visitors to the parking ramp and ensure a smooth parking experience for guests, contractors, event attendees, and staff. You will collaborate with management to maintain equipment, control traffic, and support ramp upkeep.

The role requires strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to work outdoors in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1+ year in customer service in a public-facing setting.
• Strong verbal communication and professional interaction.
• Ability to work outdoors and in a busy parking environment.

Responsibilities

• Support event parking operations including opening/closing procedures.
• Maintain supplies inventory and ensure systems are functional.
• Assist customers with payments and provide traffic control.
• Keep signage and pay stations updated with current rates.
• Troubleshoot equipment and report outages.
• Ensure lanes and ramp are free of obstructions; perform trash removal and winter maintenance.
• Interact professionally with customers and staff.
• Promote museum amenities and events.
• Escalate incidents to security and management.
