Job summary

American Quarter Horse Association is seeking a Museum Operations Liaison to support a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and volunteers. The role troubleshoots building systems, supports exhibits, and assists with event setup and logistics in partnership with the facilities and IT teams.

You will perform inspections, coordinate repairs, maintain exhibit spaces, install and maintain interactive components, manage maintenance logs, and help ensure safety and compliance across museum

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preference for 4+ years of experience in facility and audio/visual management.
• Experience in museums, hospitality, education, or similar public-facing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of interior and exterior areas, exhibits, AV equipment, and interactives, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate general repairs and minor construction; escalate to facilities team and external vendors as needed.
• Maintain presentation and appearance of exhibit galleries and public spaces; assist with assembly, disassembly, and upkeep of exhibits.
• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain interactive exhibit components and related electronics with the IT department.
• Develop and maintain technology repair and replacement schedules.
• Monitor safety systems and coordinate with third-party vendors for issues.
• Move and transport supplies for staff and events; set up furniture and AV equipment for meetings and rentals.
