Job summary

The Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness across all visitor spaces, exhibit galleries, offices, and common areas. The role includes assisting with event setup, reporting maintenance needs, and supporting safety protocols.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and communicate clearly with staff, vendors, and visitors. Proficiency with Windows and basic shipping/receiving software is preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain all visitor and public spaces, exhibit galleries, offices, meeting rooms, hallways, and staff areas.
Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors; clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
Dust railings, fans, blinds, and light fixtures; wipe walls and fixtures.
Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards to Lead Housekeeper/Facilities Director.
Assist Facilities Department on projects, prioritizing safety.
Set up and take down furniture for special events as needed.
