Job summary

The University of Oklahoma is seeking a position responsible for day-to-day museum operations, including exhibit maintenance, lighting, repairs, in-painting, and detailed cleaning. The role also involves care of objects through design and fabrication of display mounts and assisting senior staff to plan and install visitor experiences and traveling exhibitions.

The position may include fabrication support for the Education Department and Collections & Research, with a standard Monday–Friday

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day museum operations including exhibit maintenance (lighting, repair, cleaning).
• Design and fabricate display mounts to care for museum objects.
• Assist Head of Exhibits and Curators to improve existing displays and to design/build new visitor experiences and traveling exhibitions.
• Install temporary exhibits and support Education and Collections & Research as needed.
