The City of Irving’s Department of Arts and Culture is seeking an Education and Programs Intern for IAM. This part-time role supports hands-on activities, workshops, and educational materials for diverse audiences.

You will assist in program delivery, events, Spark!Lab, and temporary exhibitions planning, with data collection and outreach efforts. Ideal candidates are enrolled in or recently completed graduate studies in education or museum-related fields, possess teamwork and detail‑oriented

Qualifications

• Applicants must be currently enrolled in, or have completed a graduate program with major course work in education, museum studies, curriculum and instruction or related field within the past year.
• Internship length up to 18 months.
• Part-time position up to 20 hours per week.

Responsabilités

• Assist in design, development, and delivery of hands-on activities, workshops, and informal learning experiences for student groups and visitors.
• Collaborate to create and update educational materials, lesson plans, and program guides.
• Support coordination and execution of public programs and community events.
• Assist with Spark!Lab operations and visitor engagement.
• Assist planning and installation of temporary exhibitions and educational content.
• Provide program content to marketing for promotion of initiatives.
• Assist with program evaluation by collecting feedback and tracking attendance.
