Job summary

The Milwaukee Art Museum is seeking a part-time, non-exempt AV Technician to set up, maintain and operate audio visual gear for internal and external events, including openings, weddings, and lectures.

Responsibilities include live AV production, stage lighting, and troubleshooting under pressure. Must be available evenings/weekends and able to lift up to 60 pounds. Starting wage is $18.75 per hour, on-site work.

Qualifications

• Live audio/visual production with basic signal flow and mixing understanding.
• Stage lighting setup proficiency.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems under pressure.
• Must maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

• Operate AV equipment across museum areas.
• Set up in-house equipment for internal/external events.
• Support events like openings, weddings, corporate events, screenings, lectures.
• Assist in care and maintenance of equipment.
• Available to work evenings and weekends; on-call as needed.
• Assist Director of Gallery Media with digital projects.
