Job summary

PeaceHealth seeks a Medical Assistant for the Musculoskeletal Clinic. This full-time, 1.0 FTE role supports physicians and providers in delivering patient care within MA scope of practice.

Salary range is $25.88–$34.85 per hour, and the position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. Responsibilities include prepping patients, maintaining rooms and supplies, assisting with injections and wound care, and EMR data entry.

Qualifications

• Accredited MA or Medical Office Assistant program required; MOA exam eligibility or apprenticeship option considered.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office preferred.
• WA State MA Certification is required (or Interim credential with full certification within 12 months).

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment; record history and vitals.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Administer injections and basic wound care under provider orders.
• Assist scheduling of tests and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain patient records and data entry in EMR.
• Provide phone screening and triage to clinical staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth operations.
