Job summary

Bounteous seeks a Murex Front Office Trading Consultant to support implementation, upgrades and trading projects in Equity Derivatives and Commodities.

The candidate will work with Front Office users, business analysts and developers to validate configurations, pricing and market data, and will create and execute tests to ensure correct trading outcomes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in financial markets, IT business analysis or capital markets technology delivery.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Murex across Trading, Front Office support or Front Office project delivery.
• Experience in Equity Derivatives and/or Commodities within a Murex trading environment.
• Experience supporting Murex implementation, upgrade or enhancement projects.
• Understanding of Front Office trading workflows, trade lifecycle, pricing and market data.

Job description

We are seeking a Murex Front Office Trading Consultant with specific experience across Equity Derivatives and/or Commodities to support Murex implementation, upgrade and Front Office trading projects.

The consultant will work closely with Front Office users, business analysts, developers, testing teams and project stakeholders to support the build, validation and troubleshooting of Murex functionality across trading workflows. The role requires hands-on experience using Murex within the trading domain, including market data management, pricing, structuring and validation of complex financial products.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in financial markets, IT business analysis or capital markets technology delivery.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with the Murex product across Trading, Front Office support or Front Office project delivery.
• Specific experience across Equity Derivatives and/or Commodities within a Murex trading environment.
• Experience supporting Murex implementation, upgrade or enhancement projects through build, validation, testing and defect resolution phases.
• Good understanding of Front Office trading workflows, trade lifecycle, pricing, market data and product setup.
• Experience supporting Murex users across market data management, pricing, structuring and validation of financial products.
• Ability to support complex product areas such as Equity Derivatives, Commodities, FX derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives or Fixed Income, with preference for EQD / Commodities.
• Experience developing and executing test cases to validate system behaviour and troubleshoot issues.
• Ability to document defective use cases clearly for developer investigation and resolution.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with traders, business users, developers, testers and project teams.
• Ability to analyse issues, reproduce defects, document findings and support fixes through testing and release.

• Develop and execute test cases for Murex functionality across trading workflows, pricing, market data, product setup and lifecycle events.
• Troubleshoot system issues, reproduce defects and document defective use cases for developer review.
• Support developers by providing clear functional context, expected behaviour, actual behaviour and test evidence.
• Assist with SIT, UAT, regression testing and upgrade validation activity.
• Work with Front Office users to confirm whether system outputs are accurate and fit for trading use.
• Support validation of complex financial products, with focus on Equity Derivatives and Commodities.
• Coordinate with business analysts, technical teams, QA teams and stakeholders to track issues through to resolution.
• Document functional issues, test results, open defects, fixes and validation outcomes.
• Support go-live preparation, user testing and post-release stabilisation where required.
