Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Munitions Handler in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The role involves warehousing, stock movement, inventory, and demilitarization of munitions in controlled environments.

Candidates must obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance; US citizenship is required. The position requires safety-focused work and adherence to stringent regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and pass an MVR check with a clean record.
• Ability to operate forklift/fork truck.
• Willing and able to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Move ordnance items into/out of storage facilities and maintain inventory.
• Perform destruction and demilitarization of ammunition and explosive components.
• Operate automated systems within a munitions demilitarization process.
• Record and report munitions accountability and discrepancies to the appropriate authority.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety and environmental regulations.
• Operate MHE and transport equipment to move components as required.
