Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager in Oregon. The role leads municipal water and wastewater projects, manages scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and coordinates cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes.

The candidate will mentor staff, manage client relationships, and oversee project delivery from planning through construction, ensuring compliance and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) required.
• PE license required or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
• 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience focusing on water/wastewater.
• Experience leading municipal water/wastewater design projects across delivery phases.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills; mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and design for municipal water and wastewater systems, including conveyance, storage, distribution, and treatment.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality for projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants.
• Oversee project financials including forecasting, invoicing, and profitability.
• Ensure successful project closeout and client satisfaction; serve as Engineer of Record on projects.
• Build and maintain client relationships; pursue new opportunities and proposals.
• Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering collaboration and accountability.
