Job summary

SZ PM Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to advance municipal water and wastewater projects including treatment facilities, pumping stations, and conveyance systems in the Washington, DC area.

You will collaborate with senior staff, utility clients, consultants, and contractors to improve system reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting capital programs and asset management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within one year.
• Three to seven years of relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering.
• Knowledge of municipal water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, evaluation, design, and implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Perform engineering analyses, calculations, technical evaluations, and prepare engineering reports.
• Assist with hydraulic, process, and equipment sizing evaluations for water and wastewater facilities.
• Prepare and review technical memoranda, reports, specifications, drawings, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with utility owners, consultants, regulatory agencies, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Support development and execution of capital improvement projects.
• Participate in project meetings, field investigations, and site visits.
