Job summary

The Planet Group is recruiting a Construction Administrator for Asheville, NC to lead municipal water and sewer project administration from pre-construction through closeout.

The ideal candidate has direct CA experience on municipal utilities, handles RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay apps, and coordinates with municipalities, contractors, and engineers to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Direct Construction Administration (CA) on municipal utilities projects.
• Municipal water and sewer construction project experience required.
• Experience administering water/sewer construction contracts in the field.
• Experience reviewing RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and related docs.
• Field observations/progress reporting for municipal utility projects.
• Experience working with municipalities, contractors, engineers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Administer construction contracts during the construction phase for municipal water/sewer projects.
• Monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Review civil plans, specs, and docs for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, contractor correspondence, and project docs.
• Review pay applications, change orders, and cost documentation.
• Conduct site visits and prepare field observation reports.
• Maintain project schedules and progress tracking across multiple projects.
• Coordinate meetings with municipalities, contractors, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Assist with constructability reviews and identify issues impacting schedule or quality.
• Maintain organized project records and closeout documentation.
