Job summary

The Town of Fort Mill is seeking a Risk Manager to lead the development, administration and continuous improvement of the town’s risk management and safety programs. You will identify, mitigate and monitor operational, liability, property and workplace risks while managing insurance, claims, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, leading safety training (OSHA, first aid, evacuations), tracking performance metrics, and supporting budget development for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in HRM, Risk, Business or Public Administration or related discipline.
• Four (4) years of complex risk management, compliance, vendor oversight, financial analysis or related experience.
• Association memberships or professional designations preferred (ARM/RMP/RIMS-CRMP/CSP).

Responsibilities

• Develops, administers and improves the Town’s risk management and safety programs.
• Manage liability and workers’ compensation claims and coordinate with legal defense as needed.
• Conduct risk assessments of facilities, operations and projects to reduce exposure.
• Lead safety training programs including OSHA compliance and emergency procedures.
• Establish safety/risk program goals and budgets based on data and trends.
