Job summary

The Village is seeking qualified candidates for a Maintenance Operator in the Public Works Department in Illinois. This crew worker role performs semi-skilled labor including repair and maintenance of streets, parks, and water/sewer utilities; CDL is required or to be obtained within six months.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Salary varies by level: Operator I $54,000–$73,063; Operator II $59,535–$80,552; Operator III $68,920–$93,249.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to perform semi-skilled labor in streets, parks, and utilities.
• CDL license or eligibility within six months of hire.
• Water/wastewater license is a plus.
• Associate’s degree or higher is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair streets, parks, and water/sewer utilities.
• Perform semi-skilled labor in Public Works operations.
• Submit to pre-employment physical and drug test.
