Job summary

The Randle Law Office (RLO) is seeking two full-time associate attorneys to join a municipal law team serving governmental entities across Texas, with a focus on work-life balance and flexible scheduling. The role covers diverse topics from land use to open meetings, with a low annual billable requirement.

Responsibilities include advising municipal clients, drafting ordinances and contracts, and researching state and federal law.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Texas Law School and licensed in Texas in good standing.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Exceptional oral communication skills, including ability to speak effectively in small groups, before large audiences at public meetings, and in the courtroom.
• 1650 billable hours per year
• Some experience as a civil litigator in Texas preferred, with a working knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Independent and self-motivating, willing to quickly learn Municipal Law.
• Organized, dependable and steady.
• Capable of transitioning between numerous clients on multiple subjects daily.
• Current Texas Driver's License with acceptable driving record, and the ability to drive long distances.

Responsibilities

• Advise and provide solutions and legal advice to municipal clients
• Draft legal documents including orders, ordinances, resolutions, policies, and procedures
• Draft and review contracts, leases, easements, and deeds
• Research state and federal law, including statutes, administrative regulations, attorney general opinions, case law, and preparing legal memoranda
• Advocate for clients' interest in court and before administrative bodies
