Job summary

HR Green, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer for municipal infrastructure who will gain a broad view across development review, capital planning, and public works, rather than a single discipline.

You’ll work with senior engineers and client stakeholders, with on-site involvement and opportunities to grow toward project management and technical leadership in a mission-driven public sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of civil or municipal infrastructure experience.
• Familiarity with municipal codes, standards, and regulatory processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working with public agencies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review development plans through preliminary and construction stages, providing technical input.
• Support senior engineers in the design and development of municipal infrastructure projects.
• Act as staff augmentation for client agencies, including preparation of technical reports and documentation.
• Conduct field visits to validate design intent and support construction QA.
• Collaborate across disciplines to define requirements and develop buildable engineering solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and field issues in real time.
• Maintain clear documentation to support project continuity and compliance.
