The City of Redlands, CA is seeking a qualified professional to oversee a broad range of financial and auditing duties. This role manages staff, analyzes accounting systems and grants, and leads internal controls improvements to support reliable financial information across city funds and departments.

Responsibilities include budgeting, year-end closings, audits of internal and external entities, and reporting findings to management and elected officials.

Competenze

• Five years of progressively responsible professional accounting, payroll, and/or auditing experience.
• Three years of fund accounting experience, preferably for a municipality/agency.
• Two years of technical supervision experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field; foreign degrees require equivalency evaluation.

Mansioni

• Plan, supervise, and evaluate work of professional and technical staff.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures; improve internal controls.
• Conduct fiscal studies, audits, and analysis; monitor grant programs for compliance.
• Prepare year-end closing entries, journal entries, and budget transfers.
• Produce written audit reports with findings and recommendations.
