Job summary

GFL Environmental Services in Michigan is seeking a Municipal Field Technician. The role involves assisting sewer cleaning, inspection and trenchless sewer rehabilitation, operating field equipment, and supporting projects such as confined space entry and traffic control.

This is a full-time position located in Byron Center, MI with no remote work. Pay starts at $20+ per hour, plus comprehensive benefits including 3 weeks PTO, medical plans with an HSA employer contribution, dental and vision

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English sufficiently.
• Pass pre-employment criminal background screening and drug screening.

• Operate various equipment in the field and at the shop including pressure washers, jetters, and pumps
• Support projects such as confined space entry & traffic control

Pay: $20+/hr

The Municipal Field Technician is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at customer sites including but not limited to loading and unloading tools, raw materials, equipment, and supplies. This position takes an active role on crews by participating in both scheduled and emergency projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist sewer cleaning, sewer inspection and trenchless sewer rehabilitation
• Operate various pieces of equipment in the field and at our shop including but not limited to; pressure washers, jetters, and pumps
• Support various projects such as confined space entry & traffic control
• Other duties as assigned

What the work environment looks like

• Working in a variety of weather conditions
• Performing physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, under direction of crew leads
• Overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
• Located in Byron Center, MI, no remote work available
• Full-time position with room for advancement

Requirements
