Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking a Municipal Engineer for our Madison, WI office. You will design roadways, site developments, and utilities, while collaborating with project managers and senior engineers on a variety of civil infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has a ABET-accredited engineering degree and at least one year of municipal experience; EIT is a plus. Local travel and construction oversight duties are included with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.
• At least one year of municipal engineering experience.
• EIT certification is preferred.
• Experience with Civil 3D and water resources projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with roadway design, site development design, and grading plans.
• Assist with utility design including potable water, wastewater, and stormwater.
• Perform hydraulic/hydrologic modeling and analyses.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers on design decisions.
• Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates and permits for civil infrastructure.
• Support construction administration and observation; some local travel may be required.
